Introduction
The SMD4 stepper motor drive is a single-axis bipolar stepper motor drive, intended for use with AMLs range of vacuum compatible stepper motors (VCSMs), with maximum performance and minimal heat.
Powerful software is supplied with the SMD4 that enables you to control and configure multiple SMD4 units
simultaneously, in a single, user-friendly graphical interface.
The drive features extensive communications options, including USB, RS232, RS485 and Ethernet. It also includes an innovate boost feature, which boosts the 48 V input up to 67 V for driving the motors. This allows the use of standard 48 V power supplies without compromising on motor performance.
